Let's get festive and honest!
As we move through another busy festive season, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of comparing, copying, or even doubting your value because of what “the others” are charging. I’m here to tell you: STOP! Own your business, ignore everyone else, and take back control—because this mindset shift changes everything.

Whether you’re planning your new year menu, prepping for winter café trade, or just looking for fresh ideas, I’ve created a collection of festive recipes with transparent, up-to-date ingredient pricing. Why? Because I want you to start from a place of confidence and reality—not guesswork or fear.

But here’s the key: Use these prices as a baseline, not as gospel. You must now apply YOUR pricing, using YOUR supplier costs, for it to be true to your business model. Too many owners mimic pricing from other businesses. This is the worst thing you can do: your overheads, your wages, your running costs, your food costs—are unique. Your pricing CANNOT and SHOULD NOT match anyone else’s.

Do not fall for this trap! Copying others will keep you on the back foot and leave you in a constant state of worry and uncertainty. It’s a recipe for dread, not success.
Own your business. Own your numbers. Claim your confidence.
Three Things to Remember When Costing Recipes for Your Menu:
Always add 2–3% for waste (vegetable peels, trimming, breakages, etc.)
Include packaging costs if you’re serving takeaway or retail
Add a minimum of 75% GP margin—but talk to your accountant about what YOUR business requires to thrive. Margins aren’t one-size-fits-all.

If you’re not sure where to start or want help building your own profitable pricing strategy, I’m here—book a mentoring session and let’s put YOU, and your business, at the forefront of success.

Take back control, and feel just how much it changes everything.
