About the event

Rory O Connell, co-founder of the Ballymaloe Cookery School (with his sister Darina Allen) joins forces with some of his past students and with the head pastry chef at Ballymaloe House, JR Ryall to create a delicious and convivial evening in the heart of Kilkenny city. Rory will don an apron to keep a watchful and proud eye over the delights that the school's alumni have to offer. Seasonal and local ingredients will be at the heart of the menu reflecting the ethos and message that has always been central to Rory's teaching. Expect a table of autumn delights from Rory and his friends - a celebration of the golden season and a feast for all of the senses.

TIME 5:45 pm- The evening begins at The Back Room (part of The Front Room Bar, 82 John Street Kilkenny R95PW98) where there will be live music, Irish Rossmore Oysters expertly shucked and presented by Sarah Browne of Oysome and paired with Guinness.

TIME 6:50 pm- You will be escorted by Jo Keneally's lanterns (Ballymaloe Alumni) of  Strandroad Ireland, to the fabulous Medieval Mile Museum.

TIME 7:10 pm- The evening will begin with starters by Aidan Ryan (Ballymaloe Alumni) of Tribe Restaurant and Bettystown House.
